About the Role
Grounds Care Group is seeking a full-time Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our busy but friendly team. You will be responsible for leading a team to deliver a variety of grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, strimming, shrub, bed and hedge maintenance, leaf clearance, planting, turfing, gritting, and snow clearance. This role involves using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery and requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. As a Team Leader, you will ensure all work is completed to a high standard within the allocated timescales, maintain machinery, manage and motivate your team, and communicate site-specific requirements effectively. You will also be proactive in planning upcoming works and suggesting improvements or additional services. A strong understanding of Health & Safety and adherence to company Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) is essential. This role demands professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to delivering excellent service across multiple client sites.

Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Grounds Maintenance. Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role is advantageous.
About You
You must be a team player who demonstrates initiative and leadership. Comfortable working both independently and with a team. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to managing workloads and client expectations. Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
PA1 and PA6 Certificates are required. A full UK driving licence is essential. Enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory work references will be required prior to employment.
