About the Role
As a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure every crew on your patch starts the day correctly, performs work to the required standard, and finishes safely with accurate records. You will spend part of your week working on the tools, while the rest of your time is dedicated to checking, briefing, and resolving issues. Your responsibilities include conducting daily morning crew checks, performing weekly site quality checks with scoring, logging conversations when issues arise, escalating unresolved problems on the same day, ensuring visits are delivered within scheduled windows and job times, and maintaining safety standards through RAMS, daily vehicle and HAVS checks, PPE compliance, and weekly safety briefings. You will have decision-making authority over daily tasking, on-site methods within RAMS, and the ability to stop work or take equipment out of use. You will also recommend changes to rounds, equipment, and training, and escalate any incidents or risks that could affect site visits. While you are not responsible for round planning, pricing, or handling complaints after site visits, you must promptly pass client requests to the appropriate owner on the same day.

Experience
- Supervising or leading grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar crews

About You
- Able to hold a standard with colleagues and lead by example
- Practical skills to perform tasks and demonstrate to others
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to obtain PA1 and PA6 certifications (funded by the company)

Helpful but Not Essential
- Chainsaw (CS30/31) certification
- Plant operation or First Aid at Work qualification
- Experience working on occupied estates, schools, or hospital sites
- Comfortable using phone-based job systems
