About the Role
Grounds Care Group is offering a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our busy but friendly team. We provide Grounds Maintenance, Landscape Improvement Works, Bulk Waste Removal, Japanese Knotweed Treatments, Gritting/Snow Clearance, and Winter Maintenance Services across the UK.
As a Team Leader, no two days will be the same. Your duties will include grass cutting, strimming, shrub, bed and hedge maintenance, leaf clearance, planting, turfing, gritting, and snow clearance. You will be responsible for undertaking general grounds maintenance using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery.
You will lead and manage your team to ensure all allocated works are completed on time and to a high standard. You will maintain machinery and ensure all team members understand their roles and site/client requirements. Proactivity is key, including anticipating upcoming work, suggesting site recommendations, and additional works.
Strong knowledge of mobile applications and Health & Safety is essential, ensuring all tasks comply with company Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). All work must be performed professionally, adhering to company policies, standards, and values.
This is a physically demanding role requiring work outdoors in all weather conditions. The role may include other duties as assigned to meet the organisation’s ongoing needs.
Experience
Previous experience working in Grounds Maintenance is essential.
PA1 / PA6 Certificates required.
A Full UK Driving Licence is mandatory.
