Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 3:36 pm plus standby rota payments. Overtime opportunities available, potentially increasing earnings by £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.

Salary
Up to £47,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE provided.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) Technician to join our Wastewater team. Based at Greenwich Storm, you will work alongside multi-disciplinary teams including systems, mechanical, and electrical technicians. Your responsibilities will include installing, modifying, and commissioning new plant equipment to relevant standards, diagnosing and repairing faults on systems and plants, and proactively identifying and reporting works for enhancement. You will deliver cost-effective improvements to assets and systems, helping to reduce pollution and positively impact Thames Water's environmental footprint.

Key duties include ensuring health and safety compliance, carrying out planned and defect maintenance on wastewater assets, recording work and asset information to improve business performance, providing specialist technical advice, coaching and developing staff including apprentices, and delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers in a professional and respectful manner.

All necessary PPE, tools, and a company van will be provided when on duty and on call.

Experience
- Proven experience in calibration and maintenance of front-line instrumentation.
- Practical understanding of operational plant and control systems.
- Knowledge and experience with relay logic and PLCs (Rockwell & Allen Bradley), including management and programming.
- Experience with inverter drives and ability to read and fault find from circuit diagrams.
- Understanding of Wonderware and Clear SCADA is desirable.
- Ability to identify potential issues and implement solutions or escalate as necessary.
- Experience working in a safety-conscious environment with awareness of relevant Health and Safety issues.

Qualifications
