£47,000 to £52,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills.

About the Role
We are recruiting an Inventory Operations Manager to join our Inventory & Supply team, responsible for warehousing, storage, and distribution of materials and critical equipment across Thames Water’s front-line teams. Operating 24/7 throughout the year, this team manages multiple inventory locations to ensure safe custody, real-time visibility, and timely delivery of essential materials and equipment. This role is vital to supporting the resilience and efficiency of Thames Water’s supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the establishment and management of storage locations in line with service level agreements across multiple sites, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and inventory control processes, leading and developing a team of inventory operatives, managing rotas, and maintaining performance standards. You will also manage inbound receipt and outbound distribution of critical materials using SAP Warehouse Management and RF technology, maintain accurate stock records with zero discrepancies, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure service continuity during incidents and emergencies.

Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse and inventory management.
- Demonstrable expertise in SAP Warehouse Management and RF systems (essential).
- Leadership experience in logistics or warehousing operations.
- Valid forklift licenses (counterbalance and reach truck).

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to lead and develop a team, manage operational performance, and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

Qualifications
Relevant forklift licenses and experience with SAP WM are essential. A full driving licence is required. Other formal qualifications are not specified but strong operational and leadership skills are critical.
