
Location
Mobile role covering Wigan, Preston and Manchester.
Hours
43 hours per week, 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Salary
£40,000 to £46,000 per annum (dependent upon experience), plus company van and Veolia benefits.
About the Role
As a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will support the operation and maintenance of a range of Industrial Utilities equipment including Steam Boilers and associated equipment, Air Compressors, Cooling Towers and Water Treatment Plants. Your responsibilities will include the effective completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities on Electrical and Mechanical systems such as Mechanical maintenance to comply with PSSR and WSE insurance inspections, and Low Voltage and Extra Low Voltage electrical systems. You will carry out breakdown and repair work related to electrical, control and instrumentation systems, as well as project work including minor Electrical/Mechanical installations. Additionally, you will maintain and publish plant quality records and reports, implement Safe Systems of Work including production of Permit to Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and support out-of-hours alarms from mobile sites through an On-Call rota cover.

Experience
- Proven engineering background within the Electrical and Mechanical industry with a recognised Time Served apprenticeship.
- Experience with Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and maintenance (110v, 240v and 415v).
- Knowledge of Steam Boiler plant operations.
- Full clean driving licence.

- Ability to produce Health & Safety documentation such as Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment and supporting both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Willingness to support out-of-hours on-call rota cover.
Qualifications
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
- Calibration of industrial process instrumentation.
- Alarm, Trip and Interlock testing on systems.
- Multi-skilled work supporting Electrical and Mechanical maintenance.
- Knowledge of SCADA (BMS / PMS) and PLC systems.
- Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Water Treatment plant and equipment such as Effluent Treatment, Demineralisation and Reverse Osmosis.
- Relevant certifications such as IOSH / CSCS Safety or equivalent, Confined Space, BOAS or equivalent, Steam Systems, Legionella Awareness, Industrial Gas Qualifications, IPAF / PASMA.
