About the Role
Thames Water is recruiting a Personal Assistant to join a busy team supporting three Directors. The PA provides proactive, organised, and professional administrative support to senior leaders, ensuring their day-to-day operations run efficiently and smoothly. Key responsibilities include managing diaries, coordinating meetings and logistics, handling correspondence, and supporting general administrative tasks. Acting as a reliable first point of contact and representative of the Directors, the PA ensures timely communication and coordination across departments.
Key duties include scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and events; managing diary conflicts; supporting inbox management by flagging priorities; booking travel, accommodation, and transport; processing expenses in line with company policy; preparing agendas and meeting logistics; taking accurate notes and following up on action items; welcoming visitors and arranging hospitality; liaising with HR to schedule interviews and support onboarding; organising team events and social functions; handling sensitive information with discretion; and providing holiday or sickness cover for other PAs as needed. Collaboration with Executive Assistants, PAs, and the wider support team is essential.
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative or PA role supporting multiple senior leaders or teams. Proven ability to confidently coordinate diaries and meetings, both virtually and in person.
About you
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels. Excellent organisation and time management skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision. Collaborative team player who supports colleagues when required. High attention to detail and accuracy in written and administrative work. Demonstrates discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications required, but experience supporting multiple leaders, event management, and minute taking are advantageous.
