About the Role
We are recruiting two Water Resources Analysts to strengthen our analytical, environmental, and modelling capability within the Water Resources Team. These roles play a critical part in monitoring water supply risk, developing an understanding of environmental impacts, supporting regulatory submissions, and providing robust evidence.
Across both roles, you will analyse hydrometric, operational, and environmental data to support Thames Water’s long-term goal of ensuring secure, sustainable water supplies while reducing abstraction impacts on vulnerable and iconic catchments. Each position has a slightly different technical focus—one centred on water resources system modelling and risk assessment, and the other on environmental impact assessments—but both contribute to protecting the environment and improving our understanding of water system behaviour.
The roles will deliver a wide range of analytical and modelling outputs, including groundwater monitoring rounds, Water Situation Reporting, Water Resources modelling, outage representation, assessment of abstraction licence reductions, and production of regulatory reporting. You will also support high-quality data management and prepare presentations to inform operational and strategic decision-making.
Thames Water is the UK’s largest water and wastewater company, serving more than 16 million customers. We are committed to building a better future for our customers, communities, people, and the planet. Working here means meaningful career opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and excellent benefits. Join us to make a daily difference while helping to protect the world’s water for future generations.
