About the Role
Are you a highly organised project professional who thrives on bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to complex programmes? Affinity Water is seeking a PMO Coordinator Lead to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the Capital Investment Programme. You will ensure projects of varying scale are delivered to time, cost, and quality through robust governance, proactive coordination, and clear communication. By fostering collaboration across teams and championing best practices, you will enable the efficient and effective operation of the Capital Investment Programme.
This role requires a confident leader who can inspire and guide the PMO coordination team, influence stakeholders, promote best practice, and continuously improve processes to support strategic objectives. Reporting to the PMO Manager within the Investment Programme Management (IPM) team, you will work closely with functions such as Investment Estimating, Investment Portfolio, Investment Risk & Planning, and the Programme Management community, as well as business partners in finance and commercial.
Key responsibilities include:
- Submission of papers, IPM team approvals, and verification that all submissions/approvals follow established governance protocols.
- Change Control: Escalate any uncontrolled changes promptly to maintain project integrity and compliance.
- Totex Secretariat: Provide full secretariat support for TG/TC meetings, including agenda preparation, accurate minute-taking, time management, and coordination of meeting logistics.
- Follow up on action points for Capital Investment Programme projects, programmes, portfolios, and leadership meetings considering IPM team involvement.
- Administrative Management: Manage all IPM calendars and schedule meetings to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain the PMO Forward Planner to ensure timely and appropriate planning and management of relevant meeting inputs and outputs (risks, issues, actions, decisions).
- Coordinate and participate in relevant meetings, accurately report attendance when necessary, and provide PMO information, advice, and support as required.
- Organise IPM team site visits and other logistical arrangements to ensure efficient operations and effective engagement between the PMO team and stakeholders.
- Project & Programme Delivery: Support the PMO function to ensure the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed, and delivered effectively.
- Fusion Management / Super user: Ensure creation, monitoring, and closure of project spends on Fusion.
- Support the team to ensure timely capture of lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all expenditure commitments and payments are properly authorised, controlled, and monitored in accordance with IPM procedures.

Experience
Proven experience in project or programme coordination with the ability to lead and inspire a team. Experience working within governance frameworks and managing complex project documentation is essential. Familiarity with Fusion or similar project management systems is desirable.

Qualifications
