About the Role
Join Affinity Water as an Acoustic Logging Technician and play a vital role in detecting leaks across our water network. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to develop technical skills in the water industry. No previous acoustic logging experience is required as full training will be provided. Your key responsibilities will include locating water main fittings across the network, deploying and collecting acoustic logging devices, using electronic leak detection equipment to record and analyse noise samples, and accurately documenting activities using company systems and processes. You will be expected to meet operational targets, including the deployment and collection of a minimum of 80 loggers per day, while following all health, safety and environmental procedures. The role involves safely handling equipment, including lifting and replacing manhole covers, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Experience
No previous acoustic logging experience is required as full training will be provided.

About you
You enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, are reliable, proactive and self-motivated. You have basic IT, maths and English skills and can work independently as well as part of a team. You are comfortable with physically active work and manual handling tasks and are willing to work flexible hours including occasional night shifts. A full UK driving licence is essential.
