About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Ecologist to lead complex ecological assessments and drive biodiversity solutions for projects across Ireland. You will lead large-scale ecological assessments and protected species surveys, oversee biodiversity inputs for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and planning applications, and provide senior-level ecological consultancy advice to clients. This role involves managing teams, mentoring junior ecologists, and ensuring compliance with Irish and EU environmental legislation. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse, high-profile projects nationwide and contribute to advancing biodiversity and environmental sustainability.

Experience
6–10 years of experience in ecological consultancy
Proven experience managing ecological teams and projects
Strong knowledge of Irish ecological, planning, and environmental regulations

Qualifications
Relevant degree in ecology, zoology, or related field
MSc or chartership desirable
