About the Role
Join AECOM's growing Energy team as a Principal Solar Electrical Engineer, contributing to a diverse portfolio of solar projects spanning utility-scale and distributed generation. You will deliver feasibility, design, and technical advisory services for commercial-scale rooftop, carport, floating, and ground-mounted solar PV projects, including some of the UK's largest Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Many projects also incorporate battery energy storage systems. This role offers the chance to design solar PV systems using industry-standard software such as PVSol, PVSyst, and PVCase, conduct technical site surveys, support client meetings, and prepare technical submissions and tender documentation. You will uphold a strong health and safety culture and maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical standards and best practices, applying BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and the IET Code of Practice for Solar PV Installations throughout project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career within a leading consultancy committed to delivering sustainable renewable energy solutions and making a positive impact worldwide.

About you
- Highly motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail with a diligent and proactive approach to project delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
