About the Role
Join AECOM’s market-leading Town Planning team to work on major infrastructure planning projects across the UK, with a strong focus on Development Consent Order (DCO) projects. You will lead and assist in delivering major development applications across sectors such as renewables, energy transmission, rail, water, defence, and housing. The role involves coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, managing planning applications, liaising with local planning authorities and stakeholders, and providing expert planning advice. You will contribute to business development, client relationship management, and collaborate closely with environmental impact assessment teams. This is an opportunity to work on prestigious projects including solar DCOs, carbon capture and storage, large aviation and rail projects, and mixed-use developments. Requirements

Experience
- Significant experience leading planning consent applications for large infrastructure projects across various consenting regimes including DCOs.
- Experience in client relationship management and business development.
- Expert witness experience is advantageous.

Qualifications
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent professional body.
