About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our team at Rye Meads Sewage Treatment Works. No prior experience in the waste or water industry is required; we welcome applications from candidates outside the sector who can bring fresh perspectives and ideas. This essential front-line role ensures the smooth operation of our sewage treatment works to maintain supply to customers and protect the environment. You will work in all weather conditions across multiple sites, carrying out a variety of tasks including planned preventative maintenance of equipment to support plant operations.

Your key responsibilities will include carrying out scheduled planned maintenance on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards to improve plant resilience, operating and cleaning plant and equipment to maintain operational and health and safety standards, attending reactive jobs following equipment failure, keeping sites clean and tidy, undertaking safety and security checks, and performing daily site checks to ensure compliant operation.

Experience
No previous experience in the water or waste industry is necessary. We value a fresh perspective and a willingness to learn.

A full UK driving licence is required. Other qualifications are not mandatory but a positive attitude and commitment to learning are essential.
