Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm plus standby rota on a 5-6 week rotation basis. Overtime opportunities available upon completion of essential company training.

Salary
Up to £38,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our team at Abbey Mills SPS. Ideally, you will have a background in the waste or water industry, but we welcome applications from candidates outside the sector who bring fresh perspectives and ideas. This is an essential front-line role critical to the operation of our sewage treatment works. You will work in all weather conditions, carrying out a variety of tasks across multiple sites to ensure the plant operates effectively, maintaining supply to customers and protecting the environment. Your responsibilities will include planned preventative maintenance of equipment to support plant operation.

Key duties include:
- Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards to improve plant resilience.
- Operating and cleaning plant and equipment such as large-scale pumps to maintain operational and health and safety standards.
- Isolating mechanical plant and hydraulic systems.
- Attending to reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
- Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
- Performing daily site checks to ensure compliant operation.

Experience
Experience in the waste or water industry is ideal but not essential. We welcome candidates from other sectors who bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas.
