About the Role
Driving the design and delivery of vital water infrastructure across civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines, this is an exciting opportunity for Project Engineers at various levels (Engineer, Senior and Principal) to join our growing water team. You will deliver a diverse portfolio of technical projects across the UK, working in a fast-paced environment on complex engineering and digital delivery programmes. You will lead projects through the full lifecycle, from inception to handover and closure, coordinating multi-disciplinary feasibility and design teams. Working closely with project managers, clients, colleagues and supply chain partners, you will ensure safe, high-quality outcomes delivered in line with agreed scope, time and cost.
This role offers the chance to contribute to significant projects supporting clients and communities across the UK. You will play a central role in driving successful project outcomes, strengthening client relationships and helping to grow a high-performing delivery team. In the short term, you will lead live projects and support delivery excellence. In the longer term, you will help shape delivery across a varied portfolio, develop your technical and leadership capability, and build a rewarding career with opportunities for progression.
Core Capabilities:
- Project delivery leadership: Proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to successfully deliver projects and programmes in the UK water industry.
- Technical and engineering understanding: Strong background in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, with confidence in technical environments and engineering-led delivery.
- Commercial and contract awareness: Ideally experienced in NEC contractual environments, managing contract requirements, change, risk and performance effectively.
- Stakeholder management: Able to build positive working relationships with clients, delivery teams and wider stakeholders, communicating clearly and resolving issues constructively.
- Adaptability across project types: Comfortable managing engineering projects and adapting approaches to suit different delivery models and client needs.
Experience
Proven experience in successfully driving project delivery within the water industry is essential. Experience working in NEC4 contractual environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
About you
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain delivery focus. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating across teams and stakeholders. A full UK driving licence is required.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline. Support will be provided to move towards chartered status with a suitable professional body if not already chartered.
