About the Role
Costain have been awarded a new Managed Service Provider (MSP) framework contract by United Utilities to manage and deliver large-scale water and wastewater asset maintenance activities across the North West of England. This includes oversight of 96 water treatment and 575 wastewater treatment sites serving over six million people. As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of planned and reactive projects across the United Utilities region, managing a portfolio of smaller projects. You will develop strong relationships with United Utilities operational personnel, supply chain partners, and foster a collaborative team environment. The role requires experience in both design and delivery of water projects and demands leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project completion. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards, commercial focus, stakeholder engagement, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects including Civils and MEICA, preferably within the water sector
- Strong track record of delivering project programmes successfully
- Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and various contract forms through experience and formal training
- Ability to build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, supply chain partners, and internal teams
- Competent in MS Word, Excel, document control systems, and Primavera software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications
- HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- SMSTS qualification or IOSH Managing Safely
- Relevant CSCS card
