About the Role
Costain have secured extensive work across the water sector to support the AMP 8 investment cycle. Anglian Water is committed to delivering safe, clean drinking water throughout the Anglian region. To maintain this commitment, there is an ongoing capital investment programme focused on maintaining and improving water storage assets. This involves draining down and inspecting storage point assets to establish scopes of work, completing the required works, and bringing the assets back online. This large-scale programme covers multiple locations across the Anglian Water region.

As a key partner, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of water storage point projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders while maintaining strong relationships with the client and project management team.

Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising site operations to ensure safe and efficient delivery; managing construction activity; leading site teams and subcontractors; coordinating civil, mechanical, electrical, and specialist works; maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance; ensuring compliance with company policies, legislation, and client requirements; leading daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inductions; monitoring productivity, resource utilisation, and subcontractor performance; working with the quality team to implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs); supporting commissioning and project completion activities; developing effective working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers; and attending site meetings to provide accurate progress updates.

Experience
Proven experience as a Site Manager within the water, wastewater, utilities, or civil engineering sectors. Experience delivering construction projects within a live operational environment. Strong understanding of construction processes, site management, and project delivery. Experience managing subcontractors and site-based teams. Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications
Relevant construction qualification or equivalent experience. SMSTS qualification. Relevant CSCS card. Lift Supervisor certification. Full UK driving licence.
