We are currently looking for a Project Manager to support the growth of the business and the continued delivery of world class service to our diverse client base.
Working within a dedicated and dynamic project management team and reporting directly into project leaders, this is an exciting opportunity to work on high profile projects with the best clients, consultants and contractors. The ideal candidate will have experience in day-to-day project management delivery, ensuring that project standards are achieved and managing the operational aspects of projects, including identifying necessary resources, assigning individual responsibilities and delivery of work elements.
The ideal candidate will be one who aims to grow into a leadership position and who thrives on challenges and in a client facing role, being both eager to learn and develop whilst also assisting to drive our position as a leader in the industry.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with a Senior Project Manager, Associate Director, Director or Partner to deliver successful project outcomes for our clients.
- Work with your Project Lead to agree your roles and responsibilities to allow you to fully own an element(s) of a project(s).
- Manage or support the managing of Assistant Project Managers and Apprentices on your project(s).
- Develop close relationships with client representatives and professional team members to be seen as critical to project success.
- Collaborate with Cost Managers to understand costs and achieve the best commercial outcomes.
- Take strategic responsibility for client outcomes, not just outputs.
- Ensure all tasks are of the highest quality and accuracy with guidance as required.
- Proactively develop knowledge of the project lifecycle to achieve technical excellence.
- Produce and maintain project development programmes with guidance.
- Manage your role across all project lifecycle stages including site acquisition, brief setting, project controls, leadership, fees management, planning, design, risk and value management, procurement, logistics, contract administration, quality management, completion and handover.
- Continually develop understanding of industry challenges such as modern methods of construction, ESG agenda and pre-manufacture value.
- Develop strong communication skills for clear internal and external communication.
- Utilise and help improve best practice tools and technology to support service delivery.
- Understand commercial documents relevant to your projects and identify issues with Project Lead.
- Embrace collaborative values and share knowledge internally.
- Assist with fee proposals and bids.
- Use G&T Training programme to develop proficiency in PowerBI.
- Participate actively in identification and delivery of Community Benefits.
- Develop strong understanding of building contracts including NEC, JCT etc.
Experience
- Proven experience in day-to-day project management delivery.
- Experience working in a client-focused environment with commitment to excellent client service.
- Experience providing leadership to junior team members.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 suite and ASTA Power Project.
- Understanding of real estate and construction industry market issues and their impacts.
- Business development minded with ambition to progress and develop professional network.

Qualifications
- Degree qualified.
- MRICS preferred but not essential; support provided to gain MRICS qualification.
