We are seeking a Renewable Roofing Engineer to join our skilled team, supporting the installation of solar PV systems across diverse property types. This role suits both new and experienced roofers who take pride in quality workmanship, understand waterproofing, safe working practices, and maintain professional site standards. You will ensure roof-mounted solar installations are completed to exceptional standards, focusing on roof integrity, long-term performance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Install roof-mounted solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties
- Perform roofing works related to renewable installations including mounting systems, flashing, waterproofing, and making good
- Ensure roof penetrations and mounting points are correctly installed and weather-tight
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and site teams for smooth installations
- Support operations and maintenance work including inspections and remedial roofing repairs
- Comply fully with health & safety requirements and corporate legal obligations
- Deliver installations to high quality, on time and cost-effectively
- Apply TLGEC methodology and site standards consistently
- Use materials efficiently to support project delivery
- Maintain accurate project documentation and site records
- Keep strong working knowledge of RAMS and project documentation

Requirements

Experience
- Strong roofing experience, ideally with both pitched and flat roofing systems
- Confident or willing to be trained in solar mounting systems and roof penetrations
- Excellent knowledge of waterproofing, flashing, and making-good practices
- Proficient with power and hand tools common to roofing and construction
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to on-site issues
- Comfortable working at height and following safe systems of work
- High standards, pride in workmanship, and professional attitude

Qualifications
- Trade qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ) in roofing or construction is desirable
- Valid CSCS card preferred
- Certified harness and working at height training advantageous
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification is a plus
- Licenses to operate telehandlers, scissor lifts, or forklifts are beneficial
- Experience with commercial rooftops, plant rooms, or large construction sites is a bonus
- Previous experience installing solar PV mounting systems is advantageous but not essential
