
Location
Lea Bridge Depot, Walthamstow, London, E5 9RJ with responsibility across North London network and occasional travel to South London.
Hours
45 hours per week on a shift pattern including a standby rota with additional payment.
Salary
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
As a Repair & Maintenance Operative at Thames Water, you will be responsible for carrying out repair and maintenance tasks across the North London network. You will ensure all work is completed to the correct safety and quality standards as directed by the R&M Technician. This role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally travelling to South London. You will be part of a team committed to maintaining vital water infrastructure and supporting the community.

Experience
Previous experience or training in a manual handling environment is essential.
About you
You must be physically able to meet the demands of the role and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Competent IT skills and computer literacy are required. You should be able to use your initiative and problem-solve repair issues. Strong communication skills are important, with the ability to explain technical information clearly. A positive, can-do attitude, openness to new ideas and change, self-motivation, and confidence in completing tasks to a high standard are essential. A full UK driving licence is required.
Qualifications
It is advantageous to hold a Street Works qualification (NRSWA), an EUSR Water Hygiene card, Service Avoidance L2, and/or a First Aid qualification, but these are not essential.
