Hours
45 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 7 am – 5 pm. Flexibility during peak demand or high priority incidents is essential. Overtime payments apply for evening and weekend working.
Salary
Starting salary of £35,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
As an R&M Enabler within Water Networks, you will play a key role in ensuring all repair jobs requiring a highway authority permit are appropriately surveyed. You will recommend street work site setups to enable correct planning of repairs, ensuring safety for both workers and the public from initial site setup through to repair, backfill, and reinstatement.
- Take ownership and coordinate all planned and reactive jobs, ensuring compliance with Highways Street Work legislation, Health & Safety, CDM Regulations, and service level agreements.
- Act as the primary liaison between Thames Water and external stakeholders such as Councils, Highway Authorities, and other utilities to agree and enable site access and considerations.
- Collaborate with Repair and Maintenance Supervisors to reduce aborted work and remove blockers to achieve ‘right first time’ job completion.
- Provide feedback and coaching to internal stakeholders to identify improvements and contribute to change implementation.

Experience
- Experience working within the utilities sector is desirable.
- Knowledge of road types and reinstatement is advantageous.

- A full UK driving licence is essential due to travel requirements.

Qualifications
- Streetworks qualified (NRSWA minimum units 2 and 10).
- Hold a current EUSR water hygiene card.
- Additional street work qualifications such as LANTRA M6/7 are advantageous.
