About the Role
Join Thames Water as a Platform Architect and help shape the technology strategy behind a major business transformation. Working closely with IT leaders, architects, product, and programme teams, you will drive strategic technology roadmaps, align solutions to business goals, and lead the design of complex, cross-platform change initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing the strategy for a technology domain and supporting delivery teams with implementation, building and maintaining accurate models within the Enterprise Repository, and acting as lead architect on projects within your technical platform. You will own and produce strategies and roadmaps for technology domains, create policies, procedures, and standards, and provide guidance to product and project teams. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of the Architecture community at Thames Water by demonstrating thought leadership, promoting knowledge sharing, and providing architectural recommendations at governance meetings. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure compliance with harmonised governance processes and maintain engagement with vendors and industry forums to stay current on technology trends.

Experience
- Strong experience in Technical or Enterprise Architecture with a focus on Technology
- Specific experience with SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP ERP, SAP Utilities, SAP C4C, SAP BW/4HANA
- Experience with SAP Integration software
- Ability to consult on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes
- In-depth knowledge of a technology domain relevant to Thames Water

About you
- Experience in Strategic Planning and developing Technology Strategies
- Extensive experience in at least two technology domains, including ownership of associated technology roadmaps
- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration or SAP Integration Suite
- Proficiency with SAP Cloud Apps such as Ariba and SuccessFactors
- Understanding and use of an architecture framework (e.g. TOGAF or ArchiMate)

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are explicitly required but relevant certifications in architecture frameworks or SAP technologies would be advantageous.
