About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and contribute to shaping the future of the environment. You will work on a diverse portfolio of ecology programs and projects across sectors such as power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage specialists. Recent projects include some of the largest solar farms in the UK, energy transition initiatives, habitats regulations assessments, and masterplanning for new residential developments.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation of high-quality and commercially astute bids and tenders for ecological services, planning and organising all phases of ecological projects to meet programme and budget requirements, and delivering high-quality consultancy and advisory services. You will develop technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues, communicate effectively within teams and with clients, and contribute to ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications. Additionally, you will author or technically review project deliverables to ensure excellence.

At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment with access to career development, technical practice networks, AECOM University, volunteering days, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and work-life balance. Join a global team dedicated to delivering a better world through innovation and sustainability.
