About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and contribute to shaping the future of the environment. You will work on a diverse portfolio of ecology programs and projects across sectors such as power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage specialists to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation of high-quality and commercially astute bids and tenders for ecological services, planning and organising all phases of ecological project work, and ensuring resources, budgets, and controls meet programme requirements. You will deliver high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services, develop pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues, and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Additional duties include supporting the production of ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications, authoring or technically checking project deliverables to ensure high-quality outputs, and mentoring ecology team members. Experience
Demonstrable experience in planning and delivery of ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland
Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area including any protected species licences
Experience mentoring and supporting ecology team members

Qualifications
Membership of an appropriate professional institution (such as CIEEM) and evidence of working towards Chartership
