About the Role
Join AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm, and be part of a talented team shaping the future of energy infrastructure. As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will deliver cutting-edge designs for energy storage, solar, and grid connection projects, focusing on renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest BESS projects in the UK and Europe, contributing to the global energy transition and sustainable energy future.
Your work will involve projects across the UK, Ireland, and some global locations, covering feasibility, optioneering, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed design, and design assurance for renewable generation including pumped storage hydro, PV, wind, and collocated BESS. You will design BESS balance of plant (BOP) systems, develop grid connection solutions (11kV–400kV), and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions. Additionally, you will support bidding, project, and quality management activities.
At AECOM, you will benefit from a flexible hybrid working model, career development opportunities, technical practice networks, and a supportive culture focused on well-being and inclusion. Join us to help deliver a better world through sustainable infrastructure projects.
