About the Role
Are you passionate about the role that Landscape Planning and Landscape Design have in addressing climate change? Do you want to work for one of the most sustainable companies in the world across a wide variety of project types and sectors? We currently have vacancies for Senior, Principal, or Senior Principal Landscape Architects in our Landscape Architecture team. In this role, you will take the lead on a wide variety of project types and scales, primarily focusing on projects within the Water sector. Our team is leading several exciting and innovative schemes throughout the UK and Ireland, including flagship projects of national importance such as the design of wetland areas, habitat improvements, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), and stormwater interventions that benefit local communities.

We offer a wide variety of projects at all pre- and post-planning stages of the planning, design, and implementation process. In a senior role, you will provide landscape planning and design input while cultivating strong client and project team relationships. Responsibilities include contributing to fee proposals, managing discipline tasks, and undertaking field and visual survey work across the UK. As a senior member of the team, you will have opportunities to influence and shape the team’s growth and objectives while developing your own career and expertise within a Registered Practice of the Landscape Institute.

We provide a friendly, collaborative work environment with flexible working arrangements and a competitive benefits package, supporting your professional growth and work-life balance.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in landscape planning with a strong background in preparing landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIAs) and appraisals for UK planning applications. Demonstrable report-writing skills and knowledge of environmental planning issues, UK planning legislation, and environmental impact assessment regulations are essential. Experience working on sustainable place-making projects and liaising with a broad range of stakeholders is required.

About you
You are passionate about creating exceptional places that provide multiple benefits to people, communities, and the environment. You have the ability to understand client needs, think creatively, and provide pragmatic advice to deliver sustainable solutions within time and cost constraints. You are a proactive, engaged team player who enjoys supporting and facilitating the development of colleagues and working collaboratively across teams. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks effectively are essential.

Qualifications
Preferably hold a Degree or equivalent qualification in Landscape Architecture or a relevant subject. Ideally, you will be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards chartership.
