About the Role
Stantec’s continued success in delivering for the UK's leading utility providers and major infrastructure developers has created an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join our growing Major Projects Delivery team. This is more than a job; it's a chance to make a real impact on your community. By helping to deliver critical environmental and infrastructure improvements, you'll play a key role in shaping a sustainable future. You will collaborate with a national team, taking on a variety of projects primarily within the water sector Design & Construction (D&C). As a Project Planner, you will be instrumental in all project phases—from pre-construction and design to final delivery. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders within a collaborative and supportive team environment. Joining Stantec means being part of a company committed to your career growth, with development opportunities extending beyond the water sector. This role involves working on the United Utilities’ Design Development Partnership and contributing to major infrastructure projects that support sustainable, healthy, and prosperous communities.

- Experience managing change within Design & Construction in P6 in accordance with contract and client requirements
- Solid understanding of D&C sequencing and interfaces
- Familiarity with NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts
- Previous experience in the water sector is beneficial but not essential

About you
You will be confident working autonomously and collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders. You have the ability to lead programmes, provide value through consulting, and share your knowledge by mentoring less experienced colleagues. You are passionate about contributing to major projects and making a tangible impact on communities.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in project planning or related disciplines are desirable but not explicitly required. A strong technical proficiency in Primavera P6 and contract knowledge is essential.
