About the Role
Due to significant growth in our water sector, Costain is recruiting Senior Site Engineers to join our delivery team working on the Northumbrian Water Framework. Costain has secured extensive work across the water sector to support the AMP 8 investment cycle. We have been appointed by Northumbrian Water to the Living Water Enterprise to help shape and deliver its strategic infrastructure upgrade programme with contracts valued up to approximately £670m over the next 15 years.

The Senior Site Engineer will support the delivery of projects allocated to Costain ranging in value from £1m to £10m in this initial wave. These projects cover both STW upgrades and Storm Overflow works. You will work across the full project lifecycle from concept, early contractor involvement (ECI), delivery, through to handover. This will involve close collaboration with design and delivery teams, site operational teams, and supply chain partners across one or multiple sites.

You will support the development of construction strategies and programmes, ensuring projects are set up and delivered safely, to quality, on time, and within budget.

Experience
- Project level experience on contracts over £1m
- Experience working on multidisciplinary projects
- Experience with MEICA interfaces and/or water environment projects is beneficial
- Practical experience delivering projects or packages of work safely to quality, time, and budget
- Familiarity with NEC forms of contract
- Competence with Microsoft Office, document control systems, and Primavera software

Qualifications
- Degree level, HNC or HND qualification in a relevant Civil Engineering discipline
- SMSTS certified
- CSCS card holder
- Full UK driving licence
