About the Role
Garney Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent with extensive water and wastewater construction experience to lead and manage projects in Suffolk, VA. You will drive job site safety and establish site safety expectations, create and monitor 6-week look-ahead schedules, and coordinate closely with project management. Responsibilities include reviewing job costs, managing labor quantities, completing daily and periodic report updates, overseeing quality control, managing subcontractors, training craft workers, and mentoring Superintendents. This role requires a proactive leader who can ensure project success while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Experience
Minimum 10 years of water and wastewater construction experience with a self-performing general contractor.

About you
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and train others. Willingness to travel and/or relocate as needed. Proven ability to manage multiple aspects of construction projects including safety, scheduling, cost control, quality, and subcontractor management.

Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
