About the Role
At AtkinsRéalis, our award-winning team of over 130 ecologists work throughout the UK delivering a diverse range of challenging and exciting projects that benefit our clients, biodiversity and society. To meet our growing workload, we are seeking an enthusiastic Bat Licensed Ecologist to join our Cardiff or Bristol office. You will have the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant and high-profile projects, many of which have won awards for biodiversity enhancements, innovation, and knowledge sharing. Our ecology team strives to make a positive difference to the natural environment by collaborating closely with other disciplines to ensure ecology is considered from the earliest stages of projects. This collaborative approach drives nature positive schemes we are proud of.
Your role will include client interaction, demonstrating an understanding of client requirements, supporting nationally important infrastructure projects, managing project programmes and budgets, planning and undertaking field surveys, analysing and interpreting survey results, designing and coordinating ecological mitigation, and authoring and reviewing ecological reports and licence applications. You will actively engage with other business areas to cross-sell and leverage AtkinsRéalis' capabilities, prepare bids, support strategic opportunities, build client relationships, and drive work-winning in the region. You will also provide innovation on projects and within the ecology team and may coach, mentor, and support other staff members in their development. Tailored mentoring and support will be provided towards achieving career goals such as Chartership, with relevant external and internal training courses reviewed with your mentor and Practice Manager.
