About the Role
Costain are working with Thames Water on a variety of water and wastewater projects and have fantastic opportunities for individuals to join our growing AMP8 delivery team. The Site Agent will support the delivery of planned work across the Thames Water projects, developing key relationships with operational personnel, supply chain partners, and wider delivery teams. This role involves delivering multiple ongoing projects to the specified quality, maximising commercial performance, and maintaining high standards of health & safety and environmental impact.
Key responsibilities include line management and development of site teams, ensuring production and implementation of project plans, RAMs, ITPs and waste management, maintaining robust site records, and ensuring supply chain compliance with framework management plans. The Site Agent will create a safety culture striving toward zero LTI and RIDDOR incidents, maintain a commercial focus with a high level of challenge on project scope and delivery strategies, and work closely with project teams to ensure competent and skilled resources are available.
The role also requires engagement with delivery teams at an operational level, consistent and reliable reporting of project SHE metrics, progress, cost, and change, and early identification and mitigation of key project risks.
Experience
- Previous experience working on multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience working with MEICA interfaces and/or in a water environment is beneficial.
- Experience managing and delivering projects or packages of work safely to quality, time, and budget.
- Practical experience and familiarity with delivery under NEC forms of contract.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across teams and operational sites.
- Computer competence including standard Microsoft tools, document control systems, and Primavera software.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications
- HNC/HND or degree in a relevant civil engineering discipline.
- SMSTS qualification.
