About the Role
Costain have secured extensive work across the water sector to support the AMP 8 investment cycle. Anglian Water is committed to delivering safe, clean drinking water to all in the Anglian region through an ongoing capital investment programme focused on maintaining and improving water storage assets. This involves draining down and inspecting storage point assets to establish scopes of work, completing the required works, and bringing the assets back online. This large-scale programme covers multiple locations across the Anglian Water region.

The Site Agent will lead the design and delivery phases across the water storage points project lifecycle, working closely with site operational teams and supply chain partners on one or multiple sites. Responsibilities include developing construction strategies and programmes, ensuring safe, quality, timely, and budget-conscious delivery, line managing and developing site teams, and maintaining robust site records. The role demands fostering a safety culture aiming for zero Lost Time Incidents (LTI) and RIDDOR incidents, maintaining commercial focus with strong challenge on project scope and delivery strategies, and ensuring competent resource allocation.

The Site Agent will also ensure consistent and reliable reporting of project SHE metrics, progress, cost, and changes, identify and mitigate key project risks early, and engage delivery teams at an operational level to support project objectives and impacts.

Experience
- Previous experience working on water projects
- Experience with MEICA interfaces and/or water environment projects is beneficial
- Proven track record managing and delivering projects or packages of work safely to quality, time, and budget
- Practical knowledge of NEC forms of contract delivery
- Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, including site teams, clients, framework teams, design and supply chain partners, and Costain group

About you

- Competent in Microsoft Office tools, document control systems, and Primavera software
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage site teams effectively
- Commercially aware with a high level of challenge on project scope and delivery strategies
- Holds a full UK driving licence

Qualifications
- HNC, HND, or degree in a relevant civil engineering discipline
- SMSTS qualification
- Relevant CSCS card
