Role Overview
A drylining contractor is recruiting two Trainee Dryliners to work at the Biscuit Factory development in Southwark.
This role provides the opportunity to gain practical experience on a live construction site while completing a Level 2 Interior Systems Installer Apprenticeship.
You will work alongside experienced dryliners, developing the practical skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to build a career within the construction industry.
Important Eligibility Information
This opportunity is being delivered through a Section 106 agreement and is only available to residents of the London Borough of Southwark. You will be required to provide evidence of your Southwark residency.
To be considered, you must also have:
A valid Red or Green CSCS card
GCSE Maths at Grade 4/C or above
GCSE English at Grade 4/C or above is desirable.
Your CV must clearly show that you hold a valid Red or Green CSCS card and GCSE Maths at Grade 4/C or above. Applications that do not evidence these essential requirements will not be progressed.
You must also be eligible to complete the Level 2 Interior Systems Installer Apprenticeship and have the right to work in the UK.
What You’ll Do
Assist with drylining work on a live construction site
Move materials and prepare working areas
Measure, cut and install plasterboard
Help construct walls and partitions
Install suspended ceilings and raised floors
Install insulation and soundproofing systems
Seal joints between plasterboards to create a smooth finish
Use hand and power tools safely
Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications
Keep working areas clean, organised and safe
Follow all site rules and health and safety procedures
Complete work under supervision and increasingly independently as your skills develop
Maintain your apprenticeship logbook and portfolio
Work towards successful completion of the Level 2 Interior Systems Installer Apprenticeship
This list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other reasonable duties as part of your training and development.
A genuine interest in drylining and the construction industry

Physical fitness and stamina
The ability to follow instructions and work responsibly
The ability to travel to the Southwark site for an 8:00am start
Willingness to undertake manual work and work at height when required
