About the Role
Shape the future of water with AECOM by leading advanced wastewater modelling that drives sustainable infrastructure and lasting environmental impact. You will assist with model build, calibration, and verification using industry-standard software, contribute to data analysis, reporting, and technical documentation, and support optioneering and assessment of design solutions. Collaborate with internal teams including field and design groups, participate in project meetings, and assist with progress reporting. You will also support Health & Safety processes and learn to work within project budgets and programme constraints. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects such as Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise, a transformational programme reshaping Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure from 2027 to 2033. At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive, forward-thinking environment with access to career development, technical practice networks, AECOM University, volunteering days, and a flexible hybrid working model to support a healthy work-life balance. We welcome flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle.

About you
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload with guidance. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise. Passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality.
Qualifications
Degree or Master’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a related discipline) preferred. Interest in developing a career in wastewater modelling. Basic familiarity with data analysis tools or coding (e.g. Python) is beneficial but not essential. Working towards or interest in working towards professional accreditation (e.g. ICE or CIWEM) is desirable.
