About the Role
At Veolia, our drivers play a pivotal role in delivering essential services that help local communities and protect the environment. As a 7.5 T Driver Team Leader, you will ensure contractual obligations are met within required times, oversee priority routes, and assist your Manager with daily vehicle and equipment checks. You will be responsible for managing staff sign-ons, distributing daily worksheets and route maps, and ensuring all daily logs are completed and submitted accurately. Maintaining clean, tidy, and safe depots and areas is essential. When required, you may deputise for your Manager, supporting operational tasks while escalating disciplinary or financial matters appropriately. You will also undertake contract monitoring surveys and assist with related reporting. Occasionally, you may be asked to perform other duties not specified in this description.

Experience
- Valid 7.5T Licence / C1 Licence
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card
- Proven experience managing and leading a team
- Local geographical knowledge
- Experience using waste management systems, including Echo
- Experience working with local authority clients
- Good IT skills

About You
- Effective communication skills
- Prior experience within waste management is desirable
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
