About the Role

As Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will drive, plan, and manage the daily operations of the maintenance department, covering the MRF, MBT, Transfer Station, Weighbridge, and HWRC. Your responsibilities include ensuring timely completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), corrective maintenance, and optimised management of breakdowns. You will manage the maintenance budget, oversee the CMMS and spare parts stock, and be fully accountable for the health and safety of the maintenance team and activities. Leading a team of around 10 employees, you will maintain high standards of performance through coaching and development. Collaboration with other plant departments and managing engineering contractors to deliver value and reliability will be key. You will also lead significant asset improvement projects and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and operational excellence across the site.

Experience
- Diploma or Degree qualification in a related field with relevant experience
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance management role
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
