About the Role
At Veolia, our drivers play a pivotal role in delivering essential services that help communities and protect the environment. As a 7.5 T Driver Team Leader, you will ensure contractual obligations are met within required times, oversee priority routes, and assist your Manager with vehicle and equipment checks at the start of each shift. You will be responsible for signing on employees, managing reports related to attendance, and distributing daily worksheets, round sheets, and maps to staff, ensuring they fully understand their tasks.

At the end of each shift, you will ensure Daily Log Sheets are completed and forwarded appropriately. Maintaining clean, tidy, and safe depots and work areas is essential. You may deputise for your Manager when required, although operational, disciplinary, or financial matters must be escalated to Senior Management. You will also undertake daily contract monitoring surveys and assist with related reporting. Occasionally, you may be asked to perform duties outside this description.

Experience
- Valid 7.5T Licence / C1 Licence
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card
- Experience managing and leading a team
- Local geographical knowledge
- Experience using waste management systems, including Echo
- Experience working with local authority clients
- Good IT skills

- Effective communication skills
- Prior experience within waste management is desirable
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team
