About the Role
Join Forestry England, a passionate team dedicated to growing the nation’s forests and creating amazing places and experiences for everyone. As an Active Forest Coordinator based mainly at Hicks Lodge, you will deliver the Feel Good in the Forest programme, focusing on physical activity, health, and wellbeing experiences for new and returning visitors. This role involves curating a diverse programme including socially prescribed yoga sessions, mindful walks, physical activity sessions, and events suitable for people with mild-to-moderate health conditions. You will work closely with local communities, partners, volunteers, and instructors to promote wellbeing and foster meaningful connections to nature. Additionally, you will provide site support and cover as part of the Hicks Lodge Forest Centre team, including weekends.

Experience
Experience working with community groups, volunteers, or in delivering physical activity or wellbeing programmes is desirable. Ability to engage diverse audiences and coordinate activities is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or experience in health, wellbeing, physical activity, community engagement, or environmental education are advantageous. You must have the ability to provide conversation in accurate spoken English as required by the role.
