About the Role
Forestry England is seeking a proactive Built Estate Works Supervisor to oversee reactive maintenance and repairs across our built estate. Reporting to the Building Surveyor, you will coordinate reactive building maintenance including general building works, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks. You will ensure statutory compliance, support staff with inspections and remedial planning, liaise with tenants, monitor contractors, and maintain accurate records. This role requires strong communication skills, experience with risk assessments, and knowledge of CDM regulations. Our South England Forest District employs around 170 people across diverse roles including foresters, wildlife rangers, civil engineers, and ecologists. The district manages approximately 90 residential dwellings and 90 non-domestic properties such as offices, forestry depots, deer larders, and stores. Experience
Proven experience in building maintenance supervision, including general building works and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks. Experience with risk assessments and knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) is essential. Strong communication and contractor management skills are required.

You are committed to maintaining high standards of statutory compliance and health and safety. A passion for the environment and sustainable management is desirable.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in building maintenance, construction, or a related discipline are preferred. Health and safety certifications and experience in statutory compliance are advantageous.
