The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Carpentry Apprentice to join a busy contractor in Southwark.

This is a hands-on apprenticeship role designed for someone who wants to learn a trade on the job and build a long-term career in carpentry. You will work alongside experienced carpenters on live projects, gaining practical skills and structured training.

Please note: This role is open to Southwark residents only who are currently out of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced carpenters on fit-out activities
• Learn to use tools safely and effectively
• Assist with measuring, cutting, fixing and finishing work
• Handle and move materials around site
• Keep work areas clean and organised
• Follow instructions and site safety procedures at all times

Pay Information

• Pay will be in line with legal apprenticeship minimum wage requirements
• Apprentices aged 19+ may progress to the National Minimum Wage after year one
• Higher rates may be available depending on experience and employer agreement
