We are recruiting a Qualified Plasterer & Renderer on behalf of a property services organisation delivering repairs, void refurbishments, retrofitting programmes, and planned maintenance work across Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will provide high-quality plastering, rendering, and skimming services across both occupied and unoccupied properties, contributing to repairs, mould treatment, and retrofit initiatives such as solid wall insulation.

This role is ideal for an experienced plastering professional who takes pride in delivering excellent workmanship and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a wider multitrade team.

Key Responsibilities

Plastering & Skimming

• Apply plaster to walls and ceilings to deliver smooth, high-quality finishes ready for decoration.
• Complete skimming works for void and general repairs.
• Deliver consistent, high-standard internal finishes across a range of property types.

Rendering

• Apply external render using traditional and modern techniques.
• Support retrofit projects such as solid wall insulation by delivering durable and aesthetically strong render finishes.

Repairs & Maintenance

• Carry out plaster and render repairs in occupied and void properties.
• Support void turnaround works to ensure properties are ready for re-letting.
• Undertake general fabric repairs related to plastering or rendering.

Retrofit Works

• Contribute to internal and external finishing works for retrofit programmes, including solid wall insulation.

Mould Treatment

• Assist in treating mould using appropriate products and procedures, ensuring adherence to professional standards.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work independently or as part of a multitrade team to complete tasks efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, colleagues, and supervisors to support high levels of customer satisfaction.

Compliance & Documentation

• Comply with all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Complete job sheets, risk assessments, and required documentation accurately.
• Ensure work is delivered safely, professionally, and in line with operational standards.

Essential

• Proven experience in plastering, skimming, and rendering across varied property types.
• NVQ Level 2 in Plastering and Rendering or NVQ Level 3 in External/ Internal Wall Insulation (or equivalent).
• High attention to detail and strong finishing skills.
• Problem-solving ability and effective communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Flexibility to work as part of a 7-day rota, including out-of-hours work.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rota.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Basic understanding of health & safety requirements.
• Ability to follow and apply Health & Safety, Customer Care, and Communication policies relevant to the role.

Desirable

• Experience in mould treatment or retrofit finishing environments.
