About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as a Consultant Ecologist and help shape the future of the environment. The role offers opportunities to support innovative survey techniques for species and habitat surveys, data capture and reporting, project management, Habitats Regulations Assessments, Biodiversity Net Gain, and mentoring colleagues. You will organise and carry out desk studies and field surveys for habitats, botany, protected and invasive species, analyse and interpret ecological data, support Ecological Impact Assessments, design mitigation strategies, and act as an Ecological Clerk of Works on construction projects. AECOM provides a supportive environment with internal and external training, mentoring, and coaching to help you grow professionally. Become part of a team of around 230 ecology experts across the UK&I, including national and global leaders in species licensing, impact assessment, habitat creation, ecosystem restoration, and management. At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive, forward-thinking culture that values your contributions and offers a range of personalised benefits, career development opportunities, and a flexible work-life balance.
