About the Role
Join AECOM's dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and help shape the future of the environment. You will work on a diverse portfolio of ecology programs and projects across sectors such as power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage, you will contribute to projects like large solar farms, cable tunnels, electricity network upgrades, habitats regulations assessments, and masterplanning for new residential developments.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation of high-quality and commercially astute bids and tenders, planning and organising ecological project work to meet programme and budget requirements, delivering consultancy and advisory services, developing pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues, and producing ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications. You will also author or technically review project deliverables to ensure high-quality outputs.

At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment, benefiting from career development opportunities, a flexible hybrid working model, technical practice networks, AECOM University, and volunteering days. Join a global team of over 230 ecology professionals across the UK&I, including national and global leaders in species licensing, impact assessment, habitat creation, ecosystem restoration, enhancement, and management.

Become part of a company committed to delivering a better world through innovation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and environmental, social, and governance priorities.
