About the Role
Join AECOM’s UK Water team as an experienced Geomorphologist and River Restoration Project Lead. You will work nationally and internationally with regulators, governments, water companies, river and wildlife trusts, estate managers, and developers across various industries. Your role will focus on delivering high-quality projects involving planning, managing, modelling, and designing sustainable geomorphology and river restoration schemes. Projects include re-meandering design and construction supervision, nature recovery and wetland restoration, landscape-scale river restoration, weir removals, fish passes, river basin restoration planning, and geomorphological management plans both in the UK and internationally.
You will bring technical excellence in geomorphology, hydromorphology, river engineering, hydraulic and sediment transport modelling, and project management. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, provide coaching to peers and junior members, and maintain strong client and stakeholder engagement. Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience in river restoration.
- Highly experienced in project management and delivery.
- Technical expertise in geomorphology, hydromorphology, river engineering, detailed design, contractor supervision, and CDM Regulations.
- Skilled in hydraulic and geomorphological/sediment transport modelling.
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary technical teams and managing client relationships.

Qualifications
