About the Role
The M60 Scheme is seeking a Digital BIM Coordinator to join the M60 Simister Island project, reporting to the project's Engineering Manager. This role supports the successful implementation of Digital Engineering throughout both the Construction and Handover stages. You will work closely with the Digital Delivery Lead and the broader project team to deliver outstanding value using Costain’s digital toolset, ensuring compliance with National Highways EIR and the project BEP.

Key responsibilities include supporting the development of 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for permanent and temporary works, developing 3D and 4D models to aid construction sequencing and machine control, and managing the Project Information Model (PIM) during construction. You will act as a technical link between design consultants, project teams, and suppliers, embedding digital processes across disciplines and supporting public consultations.

The project involves a £240m improvement of the Simister Island M60/M62/M66 interchange, including new link roads, road widening, lane additions, and upgrades to drainage, lighting, signage, and motorway technology. As Delivery Integration Partner, Costain is responsible for maintaining traffic flow while delivering these complex works.

Experience
- Previous engineering experience with an understanding of construction processes is essential.
- Experience or interest in Digital Engineering and integration of digital techniques into projects is desirable.
- Familiarity with Autodesk and/or Bentley Systems products.
- Experience in motorway environment construction is advantageous.
- Proficient user of AutoCAD is desirable.

Qualifications
- Essential: BSc/BEng in Construction or Civil Engineering, HND in Civil Engineering or allied subject, or equivalent vocational training.
- Desirable: Relevant CSCS card.
- Professionally qualified or working towards a professional qualification.
