About the Role
As the District Heating Design Manager at Veolia, you will have the opportunity to nurture and develop a talented design team while driving exceptional results. You will be responsible for the technical drawings and designs for the District Heating division. Through daily and weekly touchpoints, you will maintain close collaboration with the team, staying connected to project progress and fostering open communication. Your strategic planning skills will be essential in ensuring all design deadlines are successfully met, while your leadership approach will focus on maximising each team member's potential and creating an environment where creativity and productivity thrive.

Key responsibilities include advising junior team members and providing technical guidance on designs and specialist IT programmes such as Autodesk products, reviewing drawings from clients or consultants, regularly updating operations and project managers on design status, reporting urgent matters to the Head of District Heating Operations, and meeting with clients to discuss their needs and progress. You will also ensure designs incorporate minimum waste and include local suppliers for materials where possible.

Experience
Previous experience in District Heating Design and design management roles.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
Knowledge of CP1 and other relevant regulations.
Proven track record of delivering designs on programmes from RIBA 2 to RIBA 6.
