About the Role
Shape the future of our cities and environments by joining AtkinsRéalis, a leading name in Surface Water Management (SWM). You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team with a national remit, working with clients including water companies, local authorities, highways and rail authorities, and developers on major projects. This role offers the opportunity to develop into the regional point of contact for Surface Water Management and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS), providing technical expertise, mentoring staff, and liaising with key clients.

Your responsibilities will include developing concepts and designs for drainage and SuDS, managing projects and designs to deliver on time and within budget, maintaining awareness of legislative changes, identifying business development opportunities, preparing financial and technical proposals, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and managing client and stakeholder relationships.

The Belfast water team, which you will collaborate with, includes geographers, GIS specialists, modellers, and engineers delivering projects for a range of clients including Water Companies, Local Authorities, and developers.

Experience
- Relevant degree in a related subject
- Appropriate post-graduation experience
- Experience in drainage design including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS)
- Knowledge of industry standard drainage network design
- Competence in AutoCAD and hydraulic modelling, preferably Microdrainage
- Proven track record of delivering technically excellent projects on time and budget
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Competence in Civil3D is desirable
- Sound commercial understanding
- Proven ability to develop client relationships and identify business opportunities
