About the Role
Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) is a region of Mott MacDonald group that combines design expertise with construction capability to deliver award-winning projects. Following the award of a new framework with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water lasting up to eight years, MMB will deliver projects across the DCC region including clean and wastewater treatment sites, below ground assets, reservoirs, and nature-based solutions. As an Ecologist, you will contribute to projects that positively impact the environment and communities by enhancing water and wastewater treatment systems.
Your role will involve engaging in all project phases from initial design through implementation, influencing scheme design and promoting best practices. You will embrace advancements in delivering Net Benefits to Biodiversity, advising clients and collaborating to develop their strategies. Working on a diverse range of projects will challenge you and support your professional growth. You will collaborate with ecologists of varying experience and environmental and engineering colleagues, both on-site and in the office, deepening your understanding of the consultancy and construction business. You will also use and promote integrated solutions and innovative technology, ensuring quality and contributing to building a sustainable environmental business.

Experience
Knowledge, understanding, and experience applying relevant guidance for ecological surveys. Report writing experience. Experience in assessing and implementing biodiversity net gain. Protected species licence or working towards one.
About you
You will hold a degree in Ecology or a directly related subject. You must have a valid driving licence and be willing to travel to sites across your operational region. You are motivated to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and keen to develop your skills in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
A degree in Ecology or a closely related field is required. Professional development towards chartership is supported and encouraged.
