Our Water Consultancy Division is a centre of excellence responding to water and wastewater challenges, delivering diverse and technically challenging projects that ensure safe water supplies and protect the environment.
As a Principal Flood Risk Consultant, you will lead hydraulic modelling development using software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and ICM to support Flood Alleviation Schemes, Flood Risk Assessments, and reservoir flood studies. You will be responsible for conceptualising and scoping modelling approaches, producing high-quality client reports, and undertaking hydrological assessments using tools like Flood Estimation Handbook, ReFH2, and WINFAP.
You will mentor and train junior staff, guiding them through the hydraulic modelling process and helping identify opportunities and risks related to programme, consenting, construction, and maintenance. Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will engage in project management and business development activities, including client engagement to secure new work.
Joining our Flood Risk Team means becoming part of a knowledgeable and experienced group specialising in hydrology, catchment management, climate resilience, hydraulic modelling, and flood risk.
